When the Provincial Health Officer put restrictions in place to flatten the curve of COVID-19 in mid-March, some businesses closed their doors temporarily. Now that these restrictions are being relaxed, businesses like The BX Pub are starting to reopen with enhanced safety protocols in place.

BX Pub owners and management have taken extensive measures to ensure their customers feel safe as they get accustomed to the “new normal.” Patrons are now directed to enter through the front doors and exit through the side doors that lead to the patio. All customers are required to sanitize their hands before they seat themselves and their names and phone numbers are recorded in a log book in the event a case of COVID-19 is traced to The BX Pub so that they can be notified. The washrooms are limited to one person at a time, plexiglass barriers have been installed, and the menu has been shrunk down so there are fewer staff in the kitchen.

These are just some of the measures that have been put in place to ensure customers feel comfortable dining in at The BX Pub. “The hospitality industry has done a great job of making it a very safe environment. You can still come and enjoy yourself and have a great time and the best thing you can do is take the time to read the signs and take the time to listen to the staff when they explain the changes that are in place operating during COVID,” says Patty Gedison, Manager. To stay up to date on what’s happening at The BX Pub, visit their Facebook page.
